Dubai religion is the next topic of discussion. Religion is an intrinsic feature of any society. There is an undercurrent of spiritual faith that unite our modern society and cannot be wished or willed away. It is the fervor of religion that fills our otherwise mechanical, materialistic life with color, zest, faith and new vigor.

Every religion has a spiritual touch to it and, sanctity attached to it and moral for all.
Undoubtedly, Islamic is the official and main religion of Dubai with vast majority of Sunni Muslims, though others are also practiced there, being flooded with foreign settlers. Needless to say that learning Islam and respecting while practicing its traditions is important to all the emirates.

It is noticeable that for several decades other religious minorities like Hindus, Sikhs, christens and others are living harmoniously in this business center. Unlike many other states, this is the only place where all religions can be worshipped and each person has access to Sikh gurudwara, Hindu temples and churches. The religious communities of Dubai are entitled to their own social and cultural institutions.

Language and Religion in DubaiResearching about Islam, it is found that Islam is not merely a religion for Muslims rather it has been the guidelines that governs the path to lead a happy life and the scope that connects the present world to the future.

Literally Islamic means ‘active submission to the god’s will’; hence it is considered to be pervasive and integral part of the lives of people following Islam. The common enchants that gets into the ears while crossing Dubai is ‘ La ilaha illa alla, Mohammadun rasulu Allah’. Rather it is the same enchant that is generally announced at mosques in Dubai.

Holy Koran is considered to be the holy book for this religion, which sets out rules for every aspect of lives. It is considered to be the first book and direct word from God, hence, the words are totally sainted and treated as the ultimate truth of god.

Though, at Friday noon prayers must be performed at mosque. The duration of these greetings may vary from 10 minutes to half an hour. However, it depends on the will of the enchanter.

Fasting: fasting is another important pillar of Islam that is undertakes with a view to focus on self-purity and increasing inner strength. Rather, it continues for whole of the month of Ramzan when Muslims fasts for 0 days and eats one time a day during night.

Charity: charity involves helping the weak and helpless creatures. For thorough Muslims, it involves obligatory charity of about 2.5 percent of the annual income.

Pilgrimage: it is not mandatory but considered to be spiritual to visit Mecca once on a lifetime for every Muslim. For more information regarding Dubai tourism, hotels, or a map of Dubai, please click the appropriate link on the top menu.
